Students may pay daily or they may prepay on Monday for the week or month (checks are accepted). Students will be assigned a lunch number which they much remember to use as they go through the lunch line. If a student misses any days paid in advance, the meals will be carried over until the student returns to school. All daily meal costs must be paid in cash (checks will not be accepted for daily meals). It is very important that you complete the free/reduced lunch applications and return them to the school. The following is a list of meal prices: Cost of Breakfast $1.00 Reduced: $.30 Cost for Adult $1.25; Adult/Vistor $1.50; Child/Vistor <10 yrs. $1.00 Lunch: Regular Daily $1.75 Reduced Daily $.40 Weekly $8.75 Weekly $2.00 *Monthly $35.00 Monthly $8.00 *Monthly prepaid meals consist of 20 days. Make checks payable to Robert E. Lee Primary School and include student lunch number. Cost of Lunch: Adult/Staff $3.00; Adult/Visitor $3.50; Child/Vistor <10 yrs. $2.50 Breakfast will be served on K-2 campus from 8:00 - 8:15 *Car riders should not be dropped off before 8:00 unless they are participating in the extended day care program. Car riders will have plenty of time to eat breakfast at 8:00 after arrival. Breakfast will be served for bus students upon their arrival. Lunch Applications: Applications for free or reduced meals are available. Parents should fill out forms completely and return them to school. To be processed, a form must have: 1. All information filled in completely. 2. List all household members. 3. Social security numbers listed for every household member. 4. Total income of all household members. 5. An application must be filled out for every child in the family attending school. Lunch applications must be completed for students to receive free or reduced meals. After forms have been processed a letter will be sent home informing the parents or guardians of the action taken on the application. The school lunch program operates under the guidelines handed down by the federal government. Students are offered breakfast and lunch. We have a "self-serve" cafeteria. Students are classified according to family income. They are issued a number to use when coming through the line. This number will be their number every year that they are enrolled in Mobile County Public Schools. If they transfer into or out of Lee the number they were issued stays with the child. Any money on their account will also transfer. Parents are encouraged to prepay for student meals. This makes it easier for students to move through the line without slowing down to get money or wait for change. Make the check out to Robert E. Lee Primary and include your child's name & lunch number on the check. Our cafeteria manager is Christie White. Other cafeteria workers are Belinda Conner, Linda Dismukes, Terri Munday, and Carrie Tate. A final note: We have several students with peanut allergies. Please be mindful of this situation. Thanks for your cooperation. Please remember to supply your child with enough breakfast and lunch money. Students may NOT charge lunch. Children will be given an "alternate" lunch.
